Upon arrival at the Lake Apo, Dr. Jesus Antonio G. Derije, university president and Dr. Almer M. Alfonso, Sr., PACEM president, talks about how CMU can help conserve the lake.

Representatives from the College of Forestry and Environmental Science, College of Veterinary Medicine, PACEM Inc. and LAWA Inc. endure the scorching heat of the sun for the launching of the Covenant for Lake Apo Stewardship Program (CLASP).

MOA signing was done at the floating cottage heading towards the middle of the lake.

Dr. Rodriga G. Aguinsatan, FRM Chair and CFES Extension Coordinator, hosts the program launching and MOU signing.

Mr. Jack Alingasa, consultant for PACEM, Inc., says that he is grateful for this stewardship agreement that aims to preserve the lake.

Dr. Alex S. Olpenda, CFES Dean, expresses his gratitude for the rare opportunity to share their expertise in the college to help conserve the lake, and hopes for a sustainable partnership with them [stakeholders].

Mrs. Ceferina O. De Los Santos, LAWA Inc. President, shares that they conducted a “Pahina” by collecting the garbage thrown along the shore and expresses their support to any initiative that aims to preserve the lake.

Dr. Almer M. Alfonso, Sr. boldly shares that the preservation and conservation of the lake is not for themselves but for the next generations to come.

Dr. Jesus Antonio G. Derije expresses his full support to the Covenant for Lake Apo Stewardship Program (CLASP) and shares that he already created a committee for the Comprehensive Development Plan that includes the Agroforestry Development Plan.
