The College of Nursing is one of the academic units of Central Mindanao
university, established in 2005 to provide quality
education in the field of Nursing. Since its inception, the college has been committed to
developing competent, innovative, and socially responsible professionals.
The college offers a range of programs, including Nursing, designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and
practical skills relevant to industry and community needs. Through its dedicated
faculty, modern facilities, and a student-centered approach, the college fosters
academic excellence and lifelong learning.
As an integral part of the university, the College of Nursing plays a vital role in
advancing research, extension services, and community engagement,
contributing to the overall mission and vision of Central Mindanao University.
GOALS and objectives
The College of Nursing is committed to achieving excellence in instruction,
research, and community service in alignment with the mission of Central Mindanao University.
It aims to develop competent, ethical, and globally competitive graduates in the field of nursing.
Goal
The College aims to:
- Provide a high-quality nursing program
- Provide culturally diverse opportunities for students and faculty
- Engage in faculty and/or student research and scholarly activities that improve health and advance nursing knowledge
- Deliver innovative health care in partnership with communities
Objectives
Specifically, the college seeks to:
- Acknowledge diversity of values and ethics, culture, and ethnicity of all people.
- Practice legal, ethico-moral, social responsibilities and accountabilities.
- Encourage the advancement of nursing science by creating milieu that fosters information literacy, lifelong learning, and scholarly endeavors.
- Support the improvement of health from the local to global arena through discovery, learning, and engagement.
- Conduct research and other scholarly activities to add to the body of specialized knowledge and theory in nursing education activities.
- Contribute to the improvement of nursing education through innovation, and participation in local to global nursing education activities.
- Promote positive societal view of professional nursing by increasing public awareness of nursing’s contribution to health care.
- Advocate for the improvement of the health care delivery system through changes in public policy with regard to accessibility, effectiveness, and quality of health care.

admission and retention policy
The College of Nursing upholds academic standards to ensure that students maintain
satisfactory performance throughout their studies in alignment with the policies of Central Mindanao University.
Students are required to meet the prescribed academic requirements to remain in their respective programs.
These include maintaining the minimum [GradeRequirement/GPA], complying with course requirements, and adhering to institutional rules and regulations.
