The College of Education is one of the academic units of Central Mindanao
 university, established in 1965 to provide quality
education in the field of education. Since its inception, the college has been committed to
developing competent, innovative, and socially responsible professionals.
The college offers a range of programs, including English, Mathematics, and Physics,
designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and
practical skills relevant to industry and community needs. Through its dedicated
faculty, modern facilities, and a student-centered approach, the college fosters
academic excellence and lifelong learning.
As an integral part of the university, the College of Education plays a vital role in
advancing research, extension services, and community engagement,
contributing to the overall mission and vision of Central Mindanao University.

The College of Education is committed to achieving excellence in instruction,
research, and community service in alignment with the mission of Central Mindanao University.
It aims to develop competent, ethical, and globally competitive graduates in English, Mathematics, and Physics.
 

GOAL

The College aims to:

  • To produce teachers who can effectively carry out programs and generate effective services in the secondary and tertiary levels and who are imbued with basic attitudes, knowledge, and skills essential for personal and social fulfillment, as well as attainment of national goals;
  • To provide professional training in teaching at the secondary and tertiary levels to non-education baccalaureate degree graduates;
  • To provide training to graduate students who aim to develop professional competence in their field of specialization through advanced studies and research;

Objectives

Specifically, the college seeks to:

  • To upgrade the competencies of teachers and para-professionals through in-service training;
  • To produce teachers equipped with educational theories and practices needed for educational research; and
  • To provide students with basic skills in gymnastics, dance sports, health, and physical fitness.

admission and retention policy

The College of Education upholds academic standards to ensure that students maintain
satisfactory performance throughout their studies in alignment with the policies of Central Mindanao University.
Students are required to meet the prescribed academic requirements to remain in their respective programs.
These include maintaining the minimum [GradeRequirement/GPA], complying with course requirements, and adhering to institutional rules and regulations.
