SUSPENSION OF CLASSES AND WORK IN THE UNIVERSITY
October 10, 2025
Pursuant to Executive Order No. 47 series of 2025 issued by the LGU Maramag in view of the 7.6 magnitude earthquake that occurred recently, classes in all levels and work in the University are suspended effective 1:00 PM today. This to prioritize the safety and well-being of all constituents of the University.
Meantime, the University will conduct thorough inspection of buildings and other important infrastructures for possible structural damage and prevent potential hazards arising from aftershocks or compromised facilities.
Engineers from the Office of the University Planning and Development and Office of the General Services are directed to immediately conduct the inspection of infrastructures of the University. Faculty from the College of Engineering who wish to join and help in the inspection will be allowed to claim for Compensatory Overtime Credit (COC) for the actual hours of service rendered.
Essential offices that provide health and security services, disaster planning and response, and other critical functions will continue to operate. Disaster Control Group for the different colleges and units must be activated to help in the risk assessment.
