Implementation of Work-From-Home (WFH) and Flexiplace
MEMORANDUM No, 10-465, s. 2026
In response to the request of the Central Mindanao University Employees Association, Inc. (CMUEAI) and the Central Mindanao University Faculty Association, Inc. (CMUFAI), all eligible Central Mindanao University (CMU) employees may be allowed to adopt a Work-from-Home (WFH) and Flexiplace Work Arrangement from November 3 to 5, 2026, subject to the compliance with the conditions set forth in this Memorandum.
The proposed arrangement aims to provide teaching and non-teaching employees with an opportunity to promote mental well-being, reduce work-related stress, and maintain productivity through a flexible work environment. It also supports the University’s energy-conservation initiatives by reducing electricity consumption in campus offices and fuel consumption associated with daily commutes. Furthermore, it will allow faculty members to maximize the Reading Week by completing academic and instructional tasks remotely and to recover from the substantial workload associated with the Midterm period, JC3 reclassification, merit promotion, RDE Congress, and AACCUP-related activities while remaining focused on their academic responsibilities.
The proposed arrangement is consistent with Board of Regents (BOR) Resolution No. 37, s 2026, otherwise known as the CMU Health and Wellness Policy, which provides for flexible work arrangements that allow government officials and employees to perform their duties at an alternative worksite for a specified period, subject to agreement with their immediate supervisor and approval by the head of the agency or office. The implementation of this arrangement shall remain subject to the University’s operational requirements and applicable policies.
