Central Mindanao University (CMU) has once again demonstrated its excellence by securing spots in the top ten in the recently concluded Mindanao Association of State Tertiary Schools (MASTS), Inc. Friendship Games and Culture and Arts Festival held in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur from November 23 to 30, 2024.
For the sports events, CMU ranked seventh out of the 35 participating state universities and colleges in the sports events with 25 gold, 24 silver, and 49 bronze medals. CMU tied with the University of Science and Technology in Southern Philippines – Claveria campus on the fourth spot with 43 points for the socio-cultural events.
Additionally, Mr. John Von Neumann A. Conde was hailed as Mr. MASTS 2024 second runner-up. Conde also bagged the Mr. Eloquent and the third place for Best in Talent. Apart from these achievements, select CMU delegates will also represent Region 10 in the National State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (SCUAA) Games and the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) National Culture and Arts Festival in 2025.
