The tree growing activity is a collaborative effort of the CMU Administration, CMU Tourism Office, Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity and Sorority Beta Theta Chapter (USM), Alpha Rho Chapter (CMU), Musuan Peak Eagles Club- The Fraternal Order of Eagles, Security Services Office, CMU Advance ROTC Unit, 1003 Ready Reserve Inf Battalion Taskforce, 1003 CDC administrators, 88IB Maringal Troopers, Lakan ng Maramag, Tambayan ng Kabataan Maramag (Maramag Teen Center) Volunteers, Maramag SK Federation, Gay Lesbian Association of Maramag (GLAM), and student volunteers.

The tree growing activity is conducted at the second level of CMU’s proposed view deck site facing the majestic Mt. Kalayo- CMU’s famous landmark. UPDO Director, Engr. Roy A. Agbayani donates tree seedlings for the tree growing activity. Tree growing activity volunteers from various units and colleges of the university.

Dr. Jesus Antonio G. Derije spearheads the tree growing activity to strengthen the university’s commitment towards environmental awareness and sustainability.
