SAE donates 200K for CMU Maingate renovation

Central Mindanao University (CMU) recently received significant financial support from the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Philippines-International Fraternity Musuan Alumni Chapter (SAEMAC) to fund the renovation of the CMU Maingate.

Fraternity representatives, including SAE Adviser Charlie C. Mundal, SAE President Joel Bomediano, and member Zosima Java, handed over an initial ₱100,000 donation to CMU President Dr. Rolito G. Eballe on October 7 at the Office of the President.

This marks the first tranche of the fraternity’s pledged ₱200,000 contribution towards the renovation, which has a total budget of ₱400,000.

“We, the SAE, are donating ₱200,000 as part of our commitment to serve,” said Mr. Mundal, who also serves as CMU’s Budget Officer, during the turnover ceremony. He further announced that the second tranche would be released by the end of the month.

Dr. Eballe expressed his appreciation for the fraternity’s ongoing support, acknowledging their significant role in developing the university’s facilities. He noted that the contribution reflects the spirit of collaboration among CMU’s alumni organizations, which continues to play a crucial part in improving the campus for students, faculty, and visitors.

Meanwhile, another alumni group has pledged to contribute funds to fully cover the ₱400,000 renovation cost. Dr. Eballe warmly welcomed this additional support, underscoring the importance of such partnerships in driving CMU’s growth.

The vision of Sigma Alpha Epsilon emphasizes the importance of honesty, integrity, and service, promoting a culture where individuals act with humility, enthusiasm, and sincerity. Their mission is to cultivate a spirit of brotherhood among members, encouraging personal and communal growth in various aspects of life.

This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of SAEMAC to support CMU and its projects, enhancing the university’s infrastructure for the benefit of its students and other stakeholders. [Iyren Dalipe Neri]
