Central Mindanao University experienced flash floods on or about 7:00 PM today, affecting some areas of the campus. Our Incident Management Team, assisted by volunteers and in close coordination with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Maramag and the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (BDRRMC) of Dologon, is actively conducting response operations, monitoring, rescue efforts, and accounting of affected students.
Rescued individuals have been provided with food and shelter at the University Homestay, and Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) while the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Maramag has also distributed hygiene kits to affected students. The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority.
As previously announced in Memorandum No. 09-511, classes on September 18-19, 2025, are suspended in observance of the CMU Foundation Celebration. Additionally, Executive Order No. 45 of the Municipality of Maramag has declared a ๐จ๐ช๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ฃ๐จ๐๐ค๐ฃ ๐ค๐ ๐ฌ๐ค๐ง๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ก๐๐จ๐จ๐๐จ ๐๐ฉ ๐๐ก๐ก ๐ก๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐จ on September 18, 2025, due to the flash floods and landslides in the area.
