CMU hosts National CPR Day celebration

In celebration of the National Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Day with the theme “A CPR READY PHILIPPINES: WHERE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS SAVE LIVES,” the Philippine Red Cross (PRC)-Bukidnon Chapter conducted a lecture and simultaneous demonstration of CPR among the members of the Red Cross Youth, the National Service Training Program (NSTP), the Office of Disaster Risk Reduction Management personnel, and students of Central Mindanao University, held at the University Grandstand on July 17.

CMU is one with the nation in celebrating National CPR Day by joining the nationwide simultaneous demonstration of CPR pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 511, which falls every 17th of July. In addition, Ms. Regina C. Coronado and Ms. Geneva P. Canza, both PRC volunteers, provided the CPR lecture and demonstration.

Moreover, Mr. Heherson B. Guinto, OIC NSTP Director, emphasized the importance of CPR in one’s life. “CPR is one of the life preservation techniques. It is a basic yet essential skill that everyone must have,” Mr. Guinto added.
