Central Mindanao University joins the Indigenous Peoples communities worldwide in celebrating the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱’𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 (NIP and IDWIP) with the theme, “Indigenous youth as agents of change for self-determination.”

This year’s celebration highlights the IP youth’s role in decision-making while recognizing their dedicated efforts in climate action, the search for justice for their people, and creating an intergenerational connection that keeps their culture, traditions, and contributions alive.

𝑭𝙚𝒂𝙩𝒖𝙧𝒆𝙙 𝙋𝒉𝙤𝒕𝙤: Salima Saway – a Talaandig artist internationally known for her soil paintings. The Talaanding Tribe of Lantapan Bukidnon is one of the Partner Communities of Central Mindanao University.
