Central Mindanao University – College of Veterinary Medicine, in cooperation with the College of Education, will be conducting a two-day Animal Care, Use, and Handling Workshop on July 17–18, 2025. This extension activity is open to educators, researchers, laboratory staff, and students, and aims to promote humane, ethical, and scientifically sound practices in animal research and laboratory work. The workshop will take place on-site at CMU-CVM and will follow a live-out setup.
The registration fee is ₱3,000, which covers lunch, snacks, training kits, laboratory supplies, and participation in expert-led sessions. Participants will receive hands-on training in animal restraint, proper handling techniques, and welfare protocols. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the workshop.
