Central Mindanao University Academic Paradise of the South
Central Mindanao University, through the University President, Dr. Rolito G. Eballe, together with the Vice President for Administration, Prof. Hermie P. Pava, received the Capacity Development Accelerator Award under the Next Gen CAPDEV Accelerator in Local Governance Award Category during the recently concluded 9th CAPDEV Awards held at the Centennial Hall, Manila Hotel on December 11, 2024.
The award that CMU earned was in recognition of the institutional partnership of DILG Regional Office 10—led by PD Rhona Pedraza-Abadilla, CESO V, and RD Yvette T. Sunga— of DILG Bukidnon in empowering LGUs and promoting excellence in local governance.
Moreover, DILG recognizes institutions like CMU as a Local Resource Institution (LRI) to foster innovation and excellence in local governance, particularly the involvement of CMU faculty in formulating a localized deradicalization module. The module aimed to address the various aspects of reintegration and personal transformation for former Rebels (FRs), thereby capacitating the Provincial Government of Bukidnon in their ECLIP and HALFWAY House implementation in achieving the vision of promoting peace and order in the Province of Bukidnon.
The 9th CAPDEV Awards was organized and sponsored by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Local Government Academy (LGA) that acknowledges the significant contributions of DILG partners in capacitating the local government sector in accelerating its mission of achieving the excellence in local governance.
