CMU employees reaffirm public service commitment through Lingkod Bayani Wall signing
A shared commitment to integrity, compassion, and excellence in public service marked Central Mindanao University’s (CMU) observance of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary with the signing of the Lingkod Bayani Commitment Wall.
University officials, vice presidents, deans, directors, unit heads, faculty, and staff participated in the activity, responding to the Civil Service Commission Regional Office X’s call for government agencies to conduct the commitment-wall signing.
With this year’s theme, “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal at Galing Para sa Bayan,” the activity emphasized the role of every government employee in advancing public service, regardless of position or designation.
In his message, CMU President Dr. Rolito G. Eballe said the signing represents a commitment to “Puso sa Serbisyo, Dangal sa Tungkulin, at Galing sa Paglilingkod”—serving with heart, performing duties with integrity, and striving for excellence.
Dr. Eballe underscored that placing one’s name on the wall signifies responsibility not only to fellow employees but also to the people served by the University. He also highlighted the collective contribution of faculty, researchers, administrative personnel, support staff, and workers in advancing the University and its services to students and communities.
He further stressed that the commitment should extend beyond the signing and be reflected in employees’ daily work, particularly in upholding compassion, integrity, accountability, and excellence as public servants.
“Bawat kawani, lingkod bayani. Let us continue to serve with heart, honor, and excellence—for Central Mindanao University, for our students and communities, and for the Filipino people,” Eballe said.
The commitment also reflects CMU’s core values of Commitment to Excellence and Service, Moral Integrity, and Unity in Diversity, particularly through the call for employees to translate these values into their everyday work.
