Central Mindanao University Academic Paradise of the South
Central Mindanao University, through the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, organized a two-day Freshmen Orientation to warmly welcome incoming freshmen for Academic Year 2026–2027. The orientation was held on August 8–9, 2026, at the University Convention Center, providing new students with essential information and guidance as they begin their academic journey at the University.
The two-day activity officially introduced the new students to the University, including its academic environment, services, officials, and campus life. The program featured a CMU promotional video, virtual campus tour, presentation of university officials, and an orientation on grounds for disciplinary actions and penalties.
The orientation also featured the Land Bank of the Philippines’ pre-launching activities for the Cash-Lite Campus Program and a session on the National Service Training Program (NSTP).Through the activity, CMU aimed to help freshmen become familiar with the University’s policies, programs, and services as they begin their new academic journey in the “Academic Paradise of the South.”
In his message, University President Dr. Rolito G. Eballe warmly welcomed the freshmen students and congratulated them for successfully passing the Central Mindanao University College Admission Test (CMUCAT), as well as those who were admitted to the University through the Alternative Entry Pathway.
“As you begin your journey with us, remember that you are now part of the country’s leading state university—an institution with a proud tradition of excellence, service, integrity, and unity,” Dr. Eballe said.
Dr. Eballe also highlighted the University’s sustained commitment to excellence, noting its consistent achievements and national and international recognition for its contributions to quality instruction, research, extension, production, and innovation.
“Dear first-year students, CMU commits to providing you with quality education and meaningful opportunities for your growth,” Dr. Eballe added.
The University President likewise called on the freshmen to demonstrate dedication, perseverance, and active participation throughout their academic journey. He encouraged them to uphold the values, policies, and rules and regulations of the University as responsible members of the CMU community.
