Central Mindanao University (CMU), through the College of Education, co-hosted the recently concluded 5th International Conference on Education and Technology (ICETECH) 2024, which was organized by Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) in Indonesia on October 30-31, 2024.

Central Mindanao University (CMU) has officially received the prestigious QS 3-Star Award, granted by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a renowned global higher education rating organization.  CMU’s QS World Ranking Coordinator, Dr. Roger J. Tan, accepted this honor on behalf of the university on November 5, 2024, at the Galaxy International Convention Center in Macau SAR, China.

Central Mindanao University (CMU) is committed to providing quality services in instruction, research, extension, and production. To further this mission, the bureau heads and secretariat members of selected units participated in a two-day orientation on the Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS) from October 22 to 23, 2024, at the College of Arts and Sciences Auditorium.

Central Mindanao University, through the Department of Development Communication, College of Agriculture, initiated the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Barangay Poblacion, Valencia City, Bukidnon, on October 30, at the Office of the President’s Conference Room.

Faculty and student researchers from Central Mindanao University (CMU) showcased outstanding research at the 7th Regional Health Research Conference, hosted by the Northern Mindanao Consortium for Health Research and Development (NorMinCoRHD) at Xavier University, Cagayan de Oro, from October 22 to 24. 

Central Mindanao University and First Fruits Agro-Industrial Corporation (FFAIC) formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for technical assistance on bamboo resource management on October 16, 2024, held at the First Fruits Academy Compound. 

Competing against top schools in the region, Central Mindanao University College of Human Ecology was hailed overall second runner up at the Kumbira 2024 held at the Limketkai Activity Center, Cagayan de Oro City, on October 16-18, 2024.

A total of five hundred students and new graduates of Central Mindanao University (CMU) have been granted financial aid and work experience through the KALAHI-CIDSS Cash-for-Work Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, an initiative designed to assist financially challenged students and new graduates while providing them with practical work opportunities.
