The College of Forestry and Environmental Sciences is one of the academic units of Central Mindanao
university, established in 1963 to provide quality
education in the field of forestry. Since its inception, the college has been committed to
developing competent, innovative, and socially responsible professionals.
The college offers a range of programs, including Environmental Science and Forestry, designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and
practical skills relevant to industry and community needs. Through its dedicated
faculty, modern facilities, and a student-centered approach, the college fosters
academic excellence and lifelong learning.
As an integral part of the university, the College of Forestry and Environmental Sciences plays a vital role in
advancing research, extension services, and community engagement,
contributing to the overall mission and vision of Central Mindanao University.
Goals and objectives
The College of Forestry and Environmental Sciences is committed to achieving excellence in instruction,
research, and community service in alignment with the mission of Central Mindanao University.
It aims to develop competent, ethical, and globally competitive graduates in the field of Engineering.
GOAL
The College aims to:
- Higher standard of excellence in instruction, research, and extension for undergraduate courses.
- Excellent and relevant instruction in the undergraduate degree programs.
- Promotion of appropriate technology for improved quality of life.
- Development of highly trained human resources foresters.
Objectives
Specifically, the college seeks to:
- As a center of excellence in social forestry, plantations/forest management, biodiversity, environmental management, and wood utilization technology in Mindanao
- Full development of the qualification standards and expertise of faculty and staff of the College; and
- Full development of instructional, research, extension, and support facilities of the College.

admission and retention policy
The College of Forestry and Environmental Science upholds academic standards to ensure that students maintain
satisfactory performance throughout their studies in alignment with the policies of Central Mindanao University.
Students are required to meet the prescribed academic requirements to remain in their respective programs.
These include maintaining the minimum [GradeRequirement/GPA], complying with course requirements, and adhering to institutional rules and regulations.
