Central Mindanao University Academic Paradise of the South
The Office of the Library Services of Central Mindanao University (CMU) formalized its partnership with Tagoloan Community College (TCC) through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program of the Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) students. The ceremony was held on July 30, 2026, at the CMU E-Library.
The partnership aims to facilitate the deployment of BLIS student trainees from TCC to the CMU University Library, where they will gain meaningful experiential learning opportunities through hands-on training, practical exposure to library operations, and professional mentoring. This collaboration is expected to strengthen the students’ knowledge, skills, and competencies in librarianship and information services while preparing them for future professional practice.
Representing the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ellen Gay S. Intong emphasized that the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) symbolizes mutual trust, a shared vision, and a collective commitment to educational excellence. She expressed hope that the partnership would continue to create opportunities for innovation, collaboration, and the holistic development of students while strengthening the ties between the two institutions.

Following the MOA signing, the Office of Library Services also welcomed, for the first time, five BLIS student trainees from TCC. An orientation session was conducted to familiarize the trainees with the University Library’s policies, services, work assignments, and expectations as they begin their on-the-job training at CMU.
