One of the key objectives of the Center for Biodiversity Research and Extension in Mindanao (CEBREM) is to establish linkages and collaborate with other institutions concerned with biodiversity studies. In line with this objective, CEBREM has partnered with the Center for Geomatics Research and Extension in Mindanao (GEOMIN) to lead a GIS Training Workshop for CEBREM researchers.

Renowned Filipino pop band Ben&Ben, led by twin brothers Miguel and Paolo Benjamin, spearheaded the first ever “Sounds Like Change” (SLC) project in Bukidnon. The three-day songwriting workshop, hosted at Central Mindanao University from April 15-17, was dedicated to empowering 29 talented Indigenous Peoples (IP) youth from Bukidnon’s seven ethnic tribes.

Drawing from his personal experiences, the guest speaker at the opening program of the 9th Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) Week recounted his journey of transforming a dormant piece of land into a thriving farm.

Central Mindanao University emerged as Best Technical Paper and Best Oral Presenter among the 41 presenters at the 3rd International Conference on Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology (iCEAT) 2024, organized by the College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology-University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) on March 14-15, 2024 via Zoom.
