Central Mindanao University’s 3D Apparatus for Vector Operations has secured a place in the 2025 Filipinnovation Awards National Competition after emerging as one of the top winners in the Mindanao Sub-National leg held at The Green Leaf Hotel in General Santos City, on August 14, 2025. This achievement propels inventor Dr. Cecilia O. Bucayong to the national finals set for November 2025.

Designed to enhance the teaching and learning of vector operations in mathematics and engineering, the device was expertly pitched by Dr. Bucayong, who showcased its innovative features and practical applications. She was joined by Dr. Gamaliela A. Dumancas, Chief of the Technology Transfer Unit of CMU OIPTBM, who provided support in representing CMU on the competition stage.
With this win, the 3D Vector Apparatus now joins two other official winners from the Mindanao leg, along with three wildcard entries from different regions, bringing together 15 finalists who will compete for the national title in November.
