Central Mindanao University’s Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (CMU-JPIA) etched its name in the annals of success by clinching its first-ever Overall Championship at the recently concluded NFJPIA – Region X & CARAGA’s 22nd Regional Mid-Year Convention. The event took place on January 13-14, 2024, at Capitol University, where CMU-JPIA’s exceptional performance outshone competitors from 16 Local Chapters across Region X & CARAGA.
With an impressive representation of 16 participating Local Chapters, CMU-JPIA emerged as the dominant force in the Academic League, securing a total of 11 podium finishes. The outstanding achievements include 𝟓 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕-𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒔, 𝟒 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅-𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝟐 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒓𝒅-𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒆 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒆𝒔, solidifying CMU-JPIA’s position as the 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬.
The success extended beyond the realms of academia, as CMU-JPIA left an indelible mark in the Non-Academic League. The organization successfully defended the coveted title of Ms. Ambassadress of Goodwill. CMU-JPIA earned further accolades in Non-Academic events, securing a first-place finish in Poster Making and a second-place finish in Amazing Race.
The Overall Championship at NFJPIA – Region X & CARAGA’s 22nd Regional Mid-Year Convention not only cements CMU-JPIA’s position as a powerhouse in accountancy education but also marks a historic milestone for the organization.
