As part of Central Mindanao University’s (CMU) quest for internationalization, the university academic community welcomes Dr. Eamon Fulcher, a distinguished professor and researcher from the United Kingdom, as a visiting professor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences under the BS Psychology program.
Known for his expertise in Psychology, Dr. Fulcher has held prestigious positions, including Director of Research and Development at Split Second Research, Head of Psychology at Arden University, and Associate Head of Department at the University of the West of England. His international experience extends to Spain, where he was a Visiting Research Fellow at Universidad de Munica. He has been instrumental in shaping the research landscape in cognitive psychology and neuroscience through his leadership roles, academic contributions, and numerous publications.
As visiting professor, Dr. Fulcher will teach psychology major subjects and collaborate in research activities. His engagement with CMU is formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement signed last July, granting him the privileges and responsibilities of a non-regular faculty member, including access to university resources.
Meanwhile, the CMU Office of International Relations Director, Dr. Raquelyn J. Dadang, sees the addition of Dr. Fulcher as a strategic step towards enhancing the university’s internationalization efforts. “The presence of Dr. Fulcher will surely boost the performance of the BS in Psychology program,” Dr. Dadang remarked, emphasizing the importance of international perspectives in enhancing the quality of education at CMU.
Dr. Fulcher will serve as a visiting professor for up to five years, with his engagement commencing in the first semester of the academic year 2024-2025. In accordance with the University Code, his responsibilities include conducting lecture classes, collaborating in research, and contributing to the academic development of the university’s Psychology program.
