Linkages and Partnership

Charles University (CU), Czech University of Life Sciences (CULS), and National Museum in Prague, Czech Republic.
Dr. Ma. Vivienne J. Segumpan, former Director of the OIR, and Dr. Alma B. Mohagan, a faculty member of the Institute of Biological Sciences of the College of Arts and Sciences and Head of the University Museum, visited the Charles University, Czech University of Life Sciences (CULS) and the National Museum in Prague on May 14-25, 2023 for discussions on possible internationalization activities and benchmarking on the curriculum. Other highlights of the said visit include research collaboration and mobility for students, faculty, and staff through Erasmus+. This partnership with CU and CULS was initiated by Dr. Mohagan, through her connection with Dr. Dominic Vondracek (a graduate of CU) and Dr. Petr Sipek (faculty of the Department of Biology).

Universitas Waramadewa (UNWAR), Indonesia.
On February 6-9, 2023, the key officials of the Universitas Waramadewa (UNWAR), Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Dewa Putu Widjana (Rector), Dr. Dra. Ni Wayan Kasni (Vice Dean of Academic Affairs) and Dr. Mirsa Umiyati (Head of Linguistics Master Program), visited our university to discuss further the proposed partnership for the adjunct faculty and conducted a seminar on Language, Gender, and Corpus Linguistics. Moreover, Dr. Dra. Ni Wayan Kasni served as the guest speaker in a seminar on Language, Gender, and Corpus Linguistics which was held at the CAS AV-Room.
On September 14, 2023, the key officials of theUMY visited the university for the Ceremonial Signing of MOU between CMU through the University President, Dr. Rolito G. Eballe, and the UMY through Dr. Achmad Numandi, Vice Rector of Internationalization and Cooperation, held at the CMU.

The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM), Sri Lanka
Mr. Austin Joseph, Head of the International Office of The International Institute of Knowledge Management (TIIKM) in Sri Lanka, visited our university on June 20, 2023, to discuss further our partnership and to implicitly learn the school’s culture, behavior, and values.
Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), Indonesia

On December 6, 2023, Dr. Erna Rochmawati and Ms. Jihan Farah Tsabitah Chandra of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), Indonesia, conducted an information campaign about their Postgraduate Scholarship Program, which may provide a good opportunity for our alumni and lecturers to pursue higher education at the said University with free tuition fees and a living allowance.

Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution (SIEE) of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).
On November 30, 2023, another Ceremonial Signing of the MOU between CMU SIEE of the RAS and the Center of Parasitology, a branch of SIEE located in Moscow, Russia held at the OP Conference Room. Among the guests were Dr. Vladimir Krapivin, Boris Efeykin, Ivan Sotnikov, Mikhail Pridannikov, and Sergey Spiridonov. Dr. Joey Genevieve T. Martinez, Vice-Chancellor of the International Affairs of MSU-IIT, accompanied the team. This MOU with RAS encourages scholarly interaction, cultural exchange, cooperative research, other forms of academic collaboration, and potential student and staff exchanges.

and the Universitas Warmadewa (UNWAR) and Universitas Airlangga in Indonesia.
CMU President, Dr. Rolito G. Eballe, signed the Memoranda of Understanding/Agreement with global and local institutions on November 17, 2023, at the OP Conference Room. The agreement includes collaborations with the Institute of Systematics and Evolution of Animals, Polish Academy of Sciences (PAS) in Poland, Institut De Systématique, Evolution, Biodiversité UMR7205 (“ISYEB”), Sorbonne Université in Paris, as well as, the Universitas Warmadewa (UNWAR) and Universitas Airlangga in Indonesia. Additionally, the University of Antique, represented by Dr. May T. Delgado, VP for Research, Extension, and Innovation, joined the event.

Shangai Wanbo Human Resource Service Co., Ltd., (Wanbo).
On December 13, 2023, CMU hosted Mr. Chen Gong, General Manager of Shangai Wanbo Human Resource Service Co., Ltd., (Wanbo), and Mr. Rolando S. Evacula, Focal Person in the Philippines, for a discussion on the provisions of the CHED Memorandum Order No. 10, series of 2023 or the “Enhanced Policies, Standards and Guidelines (PSGs) on Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP)”. This partnership with Wanbo was made possible through the initiative of Dr. Rubie A. Arroyo, Dean of the College of Human Ecology, and Dr. Daryl Jane A. Caballero, Dean of the College of Business Management, way back in 2019. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the CHED issued a memorandum on the temporary suspension of student mobility programs. Likewise, with the issuance of the new PSGs on SIAP of CHED in 2023, the revision of the MOA was necessary.
