EQUALITY

Equality means having the same rights and opportunities despite differences in status, background, or abilities. Social roles and hierarchies exist for organization, not to imply superiority or inequality. In the Philippines, the government promotes equality through laws, policies, and social justice, recognizing leaders as public servants and citizens as the sovereign people. However, inequality often stems from authoritarianism and corruption, where power is abused and fairness is compromised. Since all people are equal in life and time, everyone should be treated with equal opportunity, privilege, and respect.
