Mugna Leather Arts started as a culturally influenced heirloom craft and have since become one of the leading businesses for leather crafts in Bukidnon. Their roots go back to 2004 when it all began as a hobby that eventually turned into a profitable business.
Mugna Leather Arts is a family-operated business, run by the mother and sons trio of Mrs. Evelyn V. Pagaling, Mr. Christopher V. Pagaling, and Mr. Japhet V. Pagaling. The name “MUGNA” comes from a local dialect, which means “create” or “invent.” A fitting name for a business that specializes in creating exceptional genuine leather-made crafts. They offer a range of products including customizable wallets, pouches, hand purses, bags, laptop cases, and sandals among others, and all of which come in unique designs. Their workshop is located in Violeta, Malaybalay City, where they provide employment opportunities to the local townspeople.
With tourists showing a growing interest in leather-made crafts, Mugna Leather Arts have adopted a dual approach in marketing. They offer their products through online platforms such as Shopee, Instagram, and Facebook Marketing, and they also have physical stores/kiosks in key tourist locations such as Boracay, Siargao, and Robinsons Mall – Valencia City, Bukidnon.
To meet the growing demand while maintaining the quality of their products, Mugna Leather Arts has identified the need for cutting-edge equipment that will enable them to produce more efficiently and with higher quality. The enterprise not only aims to enhance its product offering but also create more job opportunities for the local community.
