The University Extension Office is established for the purpose of packaging and delivery of mature technologies for use by its clientele for the upliftment of the quality of life through self-
reliance and sustainable development.
Community Engagement:
We connect the university with the local community, businesses, government agencies, and
other organizations to facilitate collaborations, partnerships, and outreach activities that
address community needs and promote positive social change.
Collaboration with Local Partners:
We collaborate with Local Government Units, nonprofit organizations, businesses, and
community leaders to identify needs, leverage resources, and implement impactful programs.
Technical Assistance:
We also serve as a resource hub, offering technical assistance and expertise to individuals,
businesses, and organizations in the community. This can include guidance on issues related to
health, finance, agriculture, education, technology, and more.
1) Capability Building Unit (CBU)
This unit is mandated to assist the Local Government Units (LGUs) and the community
organizations to conscientize, empower, and lead the citizens towards the attainment
of quality of life in terms of good governance, nutrition improvement, and poverty
alleviation, food security, and sustainable natural resource management.
2) Techno-demo Services Unit (TDSU)
This unit is responsible for the establishment of technology-demonstration projects
within the university and in the community. It typically focuses on providing
technological demonstrations and advisory services on generated technologies to the
needs of the community.
3) Monitoring, Evaluation, and Documentation Unit (MEDU)
This unit ensures the effectiveness, efficiency, and impact of all extension programs and
activities. It is responsible for systematically tracking, assessing, and documenting the
outcomes and processes associated with the extension initiatives.
4) Media and Information Unit (MIU)
This unit serves as the mouthpiece of the university. It is mandated to disseminate
information and promote technologies through various media platforms— including
print, social media, and radio broadcast. MIU is the home unit of DXMU-FM 88.9, the
university-managed radio station.
