CMU honors NSTP-CWTS, ROTC graduates 

Central Mindanao University (CMU) celebrated the dedication and achievements of graduates from the National Service Training Program (NSTP) – Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) and Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) during the 2025 Commencement Exercises held on May 29 at the University Convention Center.

NSTP OIC-Director Mr. Heherson B. Guinto welcomed the graduates, expressing confidence in their ability to make a lasting impact.

“We look forward to seeing how each of you will live out the true spirit of service—not only when called upon, but at every opportunity to uplift our communities,” he added.

In his message, University President Dr. Rolito G. Eballe commended the graduates for their commitment to service and encouraged them to uphold the values of volunteerism and discipline in their future endeavors.

“Carry forward the lessons you’ve learned and the spirit of volunteerism with pride, knowing that your efforts are helping build a better, more inclusive Philippines,” Dr. Eballe said.

The ceremony was graced by COL Rey P. Pasco, GSC (INF) PA, Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, who represented MGEN Michele B. Anayron Jr., PA, Commander of the 4th Infantry “Diamond” Division, Philippine Army. As a guest of honor and speaker, COL Pasco emphasized the importance of CWTS and ROTC in fostering leadership, patriotism, and community resilience.

“Through this program, you have learned the importance of volunteerism, community service, and disaster preparedness—critical components in building resilient communities,” COL Pasco noted.

A total of 3,073 students from the CWTS program and 882 from the ROTC program were officially awarded their certificates of completion.
