Central Mindanao University (CMU) showcased its gender mainstreaming initiatives during the 8th National Women’s Summit and the 2nd Southeast Asian Women’s Summit held on March 2–3, 2026, at Miriam College in Quezon City.

Through sustained international engagement, Central Mindanao University (CMU), through its College of Education, continues to strengthen its role in developing globally competent teachers as it completed its latest deployment of pre-service teachers to Thailand following a monitoring visit and partnership engagements from February 18 to 28, 2026.

In accordance with Memorandum Circular No. 114, issued by the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines on March 6, 2026, the University hereby implements the following interim work and class arrangements, effective March 9, 2026

Responding to data-driven gender concerns within its workforce, Central Mindanao University (CMU), through the Center for Gender and Development (CGAD), officially launched its Child-Minding Facility on February 27, 2026, at the CGAD Building.

Sustaining its commitment to internationally recognized quality standards, Central Mindanao University (CMU) opened its fourth ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance Audit on February 19 at the Farmers Training Center—marking the second surveillance audit under its current certification cycle since first earning ISO 9001 certification in 2021.

To further advance its strategic foresight community, Central Mindanao University (CMU) sent selected members of its Administrative Council, including top management leaders, directors, unit heads, and college deans, to complete the four-day “Bending Reality” Strategic Foresight Training facilitated by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) on February 10–13, 2026.

Two senior education students of Central Mindanao University (CMU) are currently undertaking their international teaching internship at Takpittayakhom School in Thailand, gaining valuable cross-cultural experience and bringing CMU’s brand of excellence beyond Philippine borders.
