A training on cornhusk flower, coursage and lei making ; bamboocraft; and beadwork, intended for the members of the cooperative and other interested residents of ARC, Kalilangan, was conducted by the Techno-Demo Services unit (TDSU) of the University Extension office at KIMPC office in Kalilangan on August 15, 22 and 29; and September 12, 19 and 26, 2012 with 12, 9 and 8 participants, respectively. The training was requested by the Board of Directors of the Kalilangan, Irrigators Multipurpose Cooperatives (KIMPC), Kalilangan ARC, Kalilangan, Bukidnon and was readily approved by the University President. Related to development, the Municipal Agrarian Reform Office (MARO) of Dangcagan, Bukidnon also requested for the conduct of the same handicraft trainings conducted in Kalilangan ARC. With the joint support of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dangcagan and the Department of Agrarian Reform, South Bukidnon, a total of 107 women-members of Rural Improvement Club (RIC) from the different barangays of Dangcagan ARCs, Dangcagan, Bukidnon were trained on October 19, 23 and 30 November 7-8, 2012. The TDSU has also conducted a training on Corsage and Lei and Give Aways making in Maramag Municipal Hall on November 25-26, 2012 upon the request of LGU of Maramag. A total of 34 out-of-School Youths (OSY) were trained. The trainings were aimed at providing knowledge and skills to the participants and to enable them to establish their own enterprise to earn additional income for the family. Professors Filipinas L. Cordero, Michael G. Resus, Arminda B. Baliquig and Mrs. Bertolda A. Cardines were the TDSU trainers.
