CMU’s pride Jhanissa O. Paniamba-an is the only Philippine representative from Bukidnon who was chosen by the Office of the President to serve as the Philippine Participating Youth (PPY) to the 41st Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP). This program is initiated by the National Youth Commission (NYC). All expenses will be paid by the Government of Japan.
“While boarding on the ship, the delegates will be discussing topics such as Youth Entrepreneurship, Cross-cultural Understanding, International Relations, Environment and Climate Change, Food and Nutrition, Media and Information, School Education and Health to allow us to use the acquired knowledge from this program. The Post-Program Activity (PPA) will follow after the discussions”, Paniamba-an revealed.
Ms. Paniamba-an added that this event aimed to have mutual understanding and a cultural exchange in preparation of the ASEAN economic community on 2015. “ I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the CMU officials and to Dr. Alan Dargantes, the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) Director for giving me the chance to experience this once in a life time journey”.
SSEAYP is an annual event sponsored by the ASEAN and the Japanese youth and is participated by 11 countries from thousands of applicants, only selected 300 deserving and qualified contingents can avail the program.
